After 7 years of construction, Ajaccio's new hospital on the Stiletto site will welcome its first patients in 2023.
The nearly 60,000 m2 hospital is state-of-the-art. Among its most innovative features is a fully autonomous medical oxygen supply provided by NOVAIR oxygen generators.
Installed in 6 ISO containers attached to the hospital, the 6 Premium Plus generators supply high-purity medical oxygen (up to 99.5%) to the entire facility, which includes 9 operating theatres, 330 hospital beds and a hyperbaric chamber. An on-site oxygen cylinder refilling system ensures the maintenance of an autonomous backup source. In this way, the hospital is completely self-sufficient in oxygen supplies.
The hospital renewed its trust in NOVAIR after installing its first containerized oxygen production unit 10 years ago, which still supplies the hospital's Eugénie Annex today.
