The magazine Architecture Hospitalière has published an article on NOVAIR’s on-site medical oxygen production for the autonomous and eco-responsible supply of healthcare facilities.

The article features interviews with Charly Zenou, Sales Director for France, and Valérie BOKOBZA, Marketing & CRM Director at NOVAIR.

Below is an excerpt from the article:

On-site oxygen production: an autonomous and eco-responsible response to the growing needs of hospitals

As a manufacturer and expert in medical gases, what solutions do you offer to healthcare facilities?
NOVAIR designs and manufactures medical gas production systems: oxygen, air, and medical vacuum, as well as solutions for monitoring the quality and quantity of the gases delivered. Our solutions can be installed in a technical room or integrated into a plug-and-play container, ready to be connected to the medical gas network of the facilities.
Our area of expertise includes the installation and maintenance of equipment, as well as user training. We also offer
also offer full-service contracts as well as telemetry and on-call services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, 7 days a week!
NOVAIR solutions are available for rent (operating expense) or for sale (investment).

What are the other advantages of NOVAIR solutions for healthcare facilities?
The generator does not require delivery, so no turning area is needed. The space saved allows the facility to optimize its available floor space. For example, the private Roseraie hospital in Paris was able to carry out extension work by replacing its liquid gas supply with an oxygen generator, installed in a container on the roof of the facility. Without this solution, which ensured continuity of service, the work carried out on the occupied site would have been impossible because the facility would have had to interrupt its activity, which would have been inconceivable. In addition, the oxygen generator has the advantage of avoiding the need to store large quantities of oxygen. Production is on demand, and the installations are not subject to ICPE (Classified Installation for Environmental Protection) constraints. Finally,
oxygen generators eliminate the visual pollution caused by liquid gas columns. They can be installed in a technical room or container, with a limited footprint.

How do France and Europe more broadly compare to other countries internationally?
European countries are lagging behind in terms of on-site medical oxygen production. In France, we have fewer than fifty facilities equipped, while NOVAIR has equipped more than 5,000 facilities in over 150 countries!
On-site medical oxygen production offers undeniable advantages for both developed and emerging countries. The challenges
described above in terms of sustainable development, economics, and urban planning undoubtedly concern the most developed countries…
